    When the Jaguar appeared, I still recall the hype and it looked like it was going to bring back the throne to Atari or at least make it again a name in the industry, but soon was running around the word that it was a very powerful but very difficult and complicated console to program, Atari could not bring big names on board and only got few games.

      On the brightside they got a really strong showing from Id. Atari really should have leaned into that considering how much of a phenomenon Doom was at the time. The Jaguar had the definitive Doom and Wolf3D console ports until the PSX turned up.

        Doom was outstanding. Tempest 2000 on the Jaguar was top tier as well (I still listen to the soundtrack to this day). Aliens vs. Predator had moments of brilliance. Iron Soldier was the most immersive mecha game at the time.
