    I remember reading _Soul of a New Machine_ and the beginning, where Tom West sails in a storm stuck with me. Perhaps because it was like Captains Courageous. My father worked at Sperry Univac at the time but never talked of what he did there. Later It gave a peek behind the curtain. Read it or listened to the book many times since.

      This is a great book, and totally worth reading. It's a shame not all books about the history of computing are that engaging.

        _Revolution in the Valley_ by Andy Hertzfeld is another one I enjoyed.

        Got anything to recommend ? hopefully in audio book form, I need soemthing for when I power walk off the coming holiday cookies that I will accumulate.
