I backed it since I've wanted to get one every since they launched the first version. It's a shame that these are released like this... it makes them feel like unobtainium in an even worse way than Analogue does with their FPGA consoles. I understand that it's hard to get investor interest in a niche product like this and it's probably for the best but it makes the community around the Next feel very small and exclusive.

Would love to try one out, but unfortunately they don't ship to my country. Love these kind of platforms where the limitations leads you to exercise your inventiveness "muscle".

There is an interesting YouTube where someone goes about developing for it: https://www.youtube.com/@SquidGodDev

That's unfortunate. What country, if you don't mind me asking?

Would also recommend SquadGodDev. Very informative.

"Destination Playdate" on YouTube is another good one. He demos new games and posts pretty frequently.

I love the idea of these consoles but Analogue tries to pretend that these are unobtainium so the chances of being able to buy one are pretty slim... unless you want to deal with scalpers on eBay...

My recommendation is to look at a MiSTer system, still pretty expensive but the community is great and it supports a lot of retro systems.
